Good Looking Jacket - Horrible Stench That Won't Go Away

When I took the jacket out of the packing, I was immediately struck by an awful odor. Some kind of smell had latched onto the jacket, presumably on its transit from China. A kind of organic, rubbery smell that is truly horrible. The odor was overpowering and rendered the jacket initially unwearable. I opened it up and hung it in a breezy area. After a few days the stink was less noticeable, I could no longer detect it simply by standing near the jacket, although once it is on, that smell hits you like an invisible fist. The odor holds on in the arms of the jacket especially, so if you wear it your clothes come out stinking. I spritzed some cologne on the jacket, inside and out, but the odor is too strong. I'm faced now with the knowledge I must take this jacket to the dry cleaners if I want to wear it. Paying ROF premium prices, I would expect their products to arrive ready to wear and not have to pay ANOTHER fee with a dry cleaner. Aside from the overpowering stench, the jacket is cool and would get a 5-star review if it wasn't smelly.

Great jacket, super high quality and unique. The inner liner is what pushed it over the top for me. Love it. Pricey but worth it; feels like I’ll have it forever.
