When Roberto Clemente put on the uniform, magic happened. He swatted 3,000 hits over the course of 17 years in Pittsburgh. He was a 15-time All-Star and 12-time Gold Glove winner. When Clemente came to the plate, everyone paid attention. And for as good as he was on the field, he was twice the man off it.
